Delete Your Account & Data
You can request deletion of your Sunu Health account and all associated data at any time.
Option 1: Delete from the App
The fastest way to delete your account is directly from the Sunu app:
- Open the Sunu app on your device.
- Tap the Profile tab.
- Scroll down and tap Settings.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Confirm your request. Your account and data will be permanently deleted.
Option 2: Request via Email
If you no longer have access to the app, email us to request deletion:
- Send an email to privacy@sunu.health.
- Use the subject line: Account Deletion Request.
- Include the email address or Apple ID associated with your Sunu account so we can identify it.
- We will process your request and confirm deletion within 30 days.
What Happens When You Delete Your Account
Permanently Deleted
The following data is permanently and irreversibly deleted:
- Your account credentials and profile information (name, email/Apple ID)
- Your health profile (conditions, medications, and other manually entered data)
- All AI chat history and conversation logs
- Voice analysis results stored on our servers
- Any usage data or preferences tied to your account
Data Retained for Legal Compliance
A limited subset of data may be retained for up to 90 days in anonymized backup systems before being purged, and certain transactional or financial records may be retained for up to 7 years as required by law (e.g., for tax or accounting purposes). This retained data cannot be used to identify or contact you.
Data That Was Never on Our Servers
- Apple Health data — this is only read locally on your device and is never stored on our servers.
- Face/TrueDepth data from the Blink Test — processed on-device only, never transmitted.
- Raw voice recordings — deleted from our servers immediately after analysis.
Request Deletion of Specific Data Only
If you want to delete specific data without deleting your entire account (for example, clearing your chat history), you can:
- Clear your chat history from within the app via Profile > Settings > Clear Chat History.
- Email privacy@sunu.health specifying which data you'd like removed and we will process your request within 30 days.
