Troubleshooting

Not Receiving Notifications

  5. On Android, is the Sunu app exempt from battery optimization?

Solutions:

  • Enable notifications in Settings
  • Check Do Not Disturb schedule

  • Restart the app

Reminder at Wrong Time

Causes:

  • Time zone changed
  • Clock settings incorrect

  • Take missed dose if safe
  • Consult pharmacist if unsure about timing

Adherence Tracking

Viewing Your Compliance

Check your history:

  • How many doses marked as taken

Why it matters:

  • Medication effectiveness
  • Health outcomes
  • Doctor discussions
  • Insurance compliance

Improving Adherence

If you often miss doses:

  • Set multiple reminder times

  • Ask family member to remind you
  • Discuss with doctor if too complex

Sharing Reminder Schedule

Step 2: Tap share icon

Step 3: Include reminder schedule in export

Use cases:

  • Family caregiver management
  • Professional home care

💊 Medication Safety

Reminders are helpful tools but don't replace proper medication management. Always follow your healthcare provider's instructions. If you miss a dose, don't double up without consulting your pharmacist or doctor. Some medications require specific timing and spacing.

⏰ Pro Tip

Set your medication reminder 5-10 minutes before the actual time you need to take it. This gives you a buffer to gather the medication, get water, and take it without feeling rushed. You can mark it as taken once you've actually taken it.
